Egyptian Journeys
Egypt calls us...
and often we don’t know why.
Perhaps we have had previous incarnations there, when we might have travelled specifically for learning, or to be initiated in one of the Mystery Schools. Somewhere deep within our being we know we need to remember something that we found there (or perhaps lost).
One thing is certain though – the deeper meaning of all we find in Egypt cannot be discovered through the literal mind. In-sight only comes when we open our hearts and raise our vibration to the level at which the information is held. Profound secrets have never been left in bottles and boxes for all to find. They are there for those with the eyes to see and ears to hear in a different way.
You will find more detail on the itinerary for The Path of the Heart.
Approaching as a Pilgrim
Going to Egypt as a tourist is a totally different experience from approaching it as a pilgrim – which doesn’t mean hair shirts and deprivation, but an approach to the sacred places with an awareness that you are entering a space that was built with precision, sacred ratio and specific stone placed where the telluric (earth) energies are active. These principles all respond to the human energy field, enabling connection and expansion.
However, the sacred sites, tombs, temples and pyramids are not the only meaningful experience Egypt offers us.
Most of Egypt is desert, and I have spent many days in the Western desert – the Sahara – and been spellbound by its magnificence and magic. It offers the most powerful experience of space and timelessness to our programmed, time-bound, fast-frequency daily lives. The soul flies free, sleeping under the stars, sitting on the crest of a dune or round the campfire.
You will find more information about this journey at Spirit of the Desert.
Farmhouse Retreat
There is another way to make a journey - and that is to create your own itinerary. Some people like to discover Egypt for themselves without the input from guides or egyptologists. There is a beautiful farmhouse just outside Luxor (where I lived when I was in Egypt) which you could either make the base for your explorations, include as part of your wider itinerary or simply use as a retreat for your own creativity and inner journeys.
